Dear Time
It's only one week till school starts.
It's only one month till our season starts.
It's only one year till I'm 15 years old going on 16.
Dear Time
It's only two weeks till OBS.
It's only two months till the hopeful finals of our season.
It's only two years till I'm 16 going on 17.
Dear Time
It's only three weeks till school properly starts.
Three months till the swimming season
Three years till I'm 17 going on 18.
And four years till I'm 18 going on 19 and the A-levels come.
So Dear Time
Please do slow down and allow us to embrace the present and for now the future can wait. Because Dear Time, you re running way too fast and there is no way I can catch up. I'll be stuck in the past.
