Hi. Yesterday we went to watch Money No Enough 2 by Jack Neo. So here's a short review for all you movie-goers out there. -------SPOILER-------SPOILER-------SPOILER-------SPOILER-------SPOILER-------Firstly, the plot for the first part more or less retained the concept of the first show with the lack of money and the criticism of the government ways, of course talking about the ERPs as well. Personally, I feel the humour for the beginning of the show was a bit dry. However as the show progresses, it depicts some of the more relevant issues to Singaporeans nowadays, and it starts to drift slightly away from money to family. I guess the second part of the show was more about family in the sense that they were concentrating on the mother of the three main characters, Hui, Huang and forgot the last one :P These three characters are brothers and two of them were initially rich, but after one of their business fails and another's lawyer runs away with money, they are left poor and seeking debts from their poor old mother. That was more or less the synopsis for the first part. Going on to the second part of the show, where family comes in, the three guys are seen taking turns to take care of their old mother who is suffering from "don't know what" disease (DON'T BLAME ME!!! It's a really long name and my little brain already has too much MOV and physics to take in anymore. xD). However, before coming to the decision to take turns, they were very calculative of the costs of having a maid to take care of her et cetera, which was later emphasised on in the show. After a few weeks, they decided to send her to an old folks' home where she collapsed after screaming for her son to take her back. It was really cruel and that was perhaps the most erm..."powerful" tear-jerker in the show. So, when she goes to the hospital. The doctor finds that her blood type is O minus but the blood bank is low on that kind of blood. Only two packs left. It was initally just enough but however, the daughter of Huang, I think, played my Mark Lee, got caught in a serious accident and also needed O minus blood, however, there wasn't anymore. The old mother, after awaking from a coma of 10 days, overheard this conversation, and ripped out her life support, in an attempt to save the young girl, needless to say, the daughter eventually survived. Yup, then it's on to more BETTER humour and then the end. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars. Ok, that wasn't really much of a review. It was like a spoiler T_T I shall add the spoiler sign on top. (Does funky things with keyboard) YEAH!!! There we go. So after that, went to popular and spent 15 minutes searching for the red MOV book, and I FOUND IT!!!! YES~~~~Now, I have better material to study instead of the noobish blue book which RI asked us to buy. HEHE. Went to eat pizza hut for dinner. Nice pizza. HAHA and where did I do all this?!!! JUNCTION 8!!!! HAHA. JADEY YOU HATE THAT PLACE. Ciao~~~
